One of her largest fears is being seen as weak, and she puts up a strong front as a result; in reality she is rather sensitive. She sometimes acts selfish and a little petty, although she tries not to. RELATIONSHIPSLio Izumi: A former junior high classmate of Meroko's, and now the person who sits in front of her in Class 1-A. Meroko was in love with him in junior high and constantly told him so, but was heartbroken when he played a cruel trick on her. Afterwards, Meroko treated him with cold scorn, hiding the fact that being around him was difficult for her. Not long after entering high school, Meroko transferred to Suzuran Gakuen to get away from Izumi. As of now, Meroko is shocked and confused about Izumi being at Suzuran, but still treats him very coldly, refusing to admit even to herself that she still loves him.
Momoshiro Takeshi: Meroko met him at the park one day, and was surprised by his cheerful attitude and how easy it was to talk to him. She has no trouble opening up to him, but is confused as to why this is so.
